To date, Colorado and eight states have enacted paid family and medical leave laws. Description
This memorandum provides information related to state laws prohibiting price gouging during declared emergencies. According to staff research, Colorado is one of 14 states without a law or administrative rule that prohibits price gouging during declared emergencies. In 2006, the General Assembly passed House bill 06-1251, which would have prohibited price gouging during an emergency; however, the bill was vetoed by Governor Owens.
